Mirror problems

I've taken apart my door panels plenty of times and taken my mirrors off the side mirror housings once, but now my mirrors won't go back to the Memory positions and the right mirror doesn't automatically go down when I shift into reverse. Has anyone else had this problem with their mirrors???

All this to paint my mirrors silver... but they do look good though I'll post some pics when I get my friend's digital camera.

does the driver seat go back to memory position? If not, perform a memory link on your remote. Could you still move the mirror with the switch? If not, maybe the mirror harness is not plugged in.
The right mirror only tilt when the control switch is at the middle position. Check it. Good luck.

When I first got my CLS, the driver side mirror would not go back to its memory position, and I later found out that there was a TSB for it. Try that. Good Luck.
