Mini Cooper Drove It Today

I drove the mini coooper S today, it soooo small but quick as hell, ride wasnt bad at all, lots of wierd looking instruments. just the thought a little car with 160hp will smoke our car was just scary, nice car. definetly will get one as a car to rip around in.
only thing bad i didnt like was the clutch, doesnt goo too far down, so you dont get enough space to rev from a full stop, too sensative.

Cooper S does 0-60 in 6.9-7.0 sec......cool car, but not going to beat a CL-S.

In a straight line, the Mine Cooper-S would be a good match for a CLP, not CLS

Pretty cool car though. Just wouldn't want to get into an accident with some soccer mom in her Excursion though

Nada, just wanted to throw that in there....

How bout this:
I'd rather be in my CL-P w/ 19's and a nice drop and get broad sided by an EXPEDITION full of HOTT nurses who have to tend to me after the wreck than..... be in a mini cooper....:P

I like the mini cooper.

There is a dealership near my office, and I see at least 4-5/day.

They are unique looking.

Too girly though.

I say keep it OVERSEAS!

A souped mini can beat anything but...

If you drove a souped up mini you would still come out looking like...

It's "cute" (don't worry, I'm married) but I wouldn't spend 22K+ on it. Of course, I would rather have a Mini than a Beetle (those are just gay)

I like them, I think they are waaaaaay cooler than Beetles, Focuses, and other cars in that range. I think bringing them to the US was a good idea. I also hear that they are very safe considering their small size.

Actually, you'd really have to do ALOT of tweaking the supercharger doesn't really bring the power until the upper RPM range. I believe it's a roots but the setup is odd.

ya but its FWD and s/c brings the speed down to 7.4 seconds. Come'on.... The car has a so-so design of the 4 banger. I could see if the n/a engine was pumping out 190 but it isn't. It's not the beast everybody thinks it is.....

Safetywise with its "go-cart-like" handling you could probably avoid a lot of accidents. And if you do get hit it's got 6 airbags.
