Might be selling supercharger soon.....or I should keep it?
Hey guys....another stupid situation I'm in......since gas prices are affecting about 20% from my pay check....I'm thinking about weather I should keep my blower unit ( brandnew from the box) or sell it for good. Recently I've been car-pooling a lot now to commute to work everyday of the week and also my CL-S is driven during the summer.....just afraid that if I install the blower kit....I might not get good gas mileage as before.....just not sure what to do now......

Blown is Best
If I drive normally, my mileage is still pretty good. If at all, I may have lost 1-2mpg with similar driving. The difference shows up when you drive aggressively but you would expect that.
My advice is to add the blower and enjoy your car. It will even be more special when you do drive it.

says "hello to my TLX".
I suggest to get rid of it. I am willing to take this supercharger off of your hands. I also require that you pay for installation on my auto-mo-bile.
as you see, i'm just daydreaming unless you want to!

Keep it!! My S/C'd CLS with CT i/sc/h/full-catback gets better gas mileage than before the mods... that is when I'm not on it. Just exercise a little discipline with you foot when driving it... as hard as that might be...

It must be considerable and if so I would consider a vehicle change. If not possible I wouldn't suggest selling the blower. While some may get decent mileage, you are young and the desire to use your purchase may be greater. Getting on it will derfintely hurt your pocket.

1K sounds about right for an install.... I think I charged half of that when I installed 1 for a forum member, just because the 2nd time around was 100X times easier...but I also installed a shit of load parts on his car.

On average I get 20-22MPG. I have a mileage log for this car that starts at 74 miles on the odometer (when the previous owner took delivery). His mileage pre-S/C'er was no more than 23-24MPG on average.
