Messed w/ an SRT-4

Messed w/ an SRT -4 a little bit last night............I know thay are suppossed to be pretty fast and real light, just wanted to see how my headers helped out. We never really raced, you know, only a 40 mph hour road, but just a little fun from a few stoplights.........those things are nasty once the turbo finally spools up.........takes off like a rocket...........there was one light where I got a good launch and was a bit ahead, and I think we could've ended up even in the end, but i was looking over at the Dodge and actually hit the rev limiter in 1st because I couldnt really hear my car over the noise of he both of us. Even still, I dont really think the CL will take an SRT-4,...........but all else aside, my car is a real car and much nicer, and maybe only a half second slower.

They are pretty reliable for 14.0's, so you'd need a VERY good pass to beat one, but from a roll you might not get walked by one that is stock. Problem is that most are modded and at least solid 13's.

i have yet to run one. its pretty sad because i usually will try to reel in an EVO or Sti, but when a SRT rolls up, i usually ignore them! At least an Evo has more than just drag strip potential, the SRT's sole purpose is for drag racing! imo, dont even bother with the SRT, go up against a more worthwhile machine! lol

trust me i do.... but i like to shut em' up. ya know... I love it when you go to the follwing traffic light and they dont even attempt to look in your direction.... i just love having that affect on any car that wants to go... I have also had my fare share of really nice cars that ive taken... like mach1, GT's, boxters, vettes, hooked up imports, european cars ETC... and they are all supprised of the outcome :0

don't even bother to waste your gas! Those things are a rolling joke. Every person that drives a neon is a terrible driver! Every time i see a car weaving through traffic its a neon with faded paint. They really think there cool

but SRT's are no joke. I've seen plenty at the track running low 12's, and with just stage 2, they can dip into the high 12's. Since the car costs $2, the owners are more willing to do rather extreme modifications (remove all their seats), strip out interior, upgraded water cooling, water injection, etc etc...

But power3dfx, I didn't know the Front Wheel Driven SRT-4's existence was for drag racing! LOL. Seems Dodge would have made it a RWD if that's what they were thinking!
