Mercedes E430 vs. '98 M3 Coupe

Well, I was out to lunch today (Subway) and was coming back with my sub when I came to a light. I was minding my own business and this guy hollers over and says "Nice car! Want to see if it'll keep up?". I was thinking to myself "This guy has to be kidding, he even had an extra passenger (must have been his lunch buddy)". I said, "Sure!".

Well light turned green and we took off, took him out in the first gear and all the way to close to 3rd (going about 80mph) and then we shut it down. By this time he was about 4 car lengths behind me Went down to speed limit (55mph) and this guy went past me at like 70 and waved his hand out the window as a good gesture. I flashed my high beams at him to acknowledge. Wish more people as friendly .

Good Kill man, well actually, duh you should have won. I mean that is cool of the guy to want to race and then after losing to be friendly but what was he thinking, hahahh
You can take him by a full second to 60 and almost that in the quarter. It's it like the dads in the GS300 or ES300 that want to race me cause they see some kid driving an Acura with Chrome wheels and they want to show off they spent more for their cars. At least they think they did. hahah oh well good job, you showed that guy that spending more doesn't mean faster, and also let him see what something fast looks like. Nice Job

Thanks it was a fun race, we both learned something. He learned that I was faster than him, and I learned that they're are cool Mercedes owners

Hey hey hey, watch it. Some Bimmer owners are cool. What about a Bimmer and an Acura owner. Hmm, What a mix.

Hey damaged do you go to dtmpower.net at all. My buddy back home in NY his name is Pika's///M3 has a 1995 M3 an OBD 1 3.2 liter engine, with Dinan CAI, AC Schnitzer Exhaust, Euro HFM, 24 lb fuel injectors, and customized chip by AA for my setup. He just had a run in with a Carrera 4 and took it from 70-130. His fucking car is sick it is so awesome, just wondering if you spent anytime there. He said he is putting out 305 HP now and running about 5 flat to 60.

No I havne't been there. Wow a OBD1 w/ a 3.2 L engine. I was asking about this same setup on my '98 but wanting to convert the OBD2 to OBD1 and see how it goes. Some people have seen gains upwards to 40HP by doing this. Don't know what it consists of other than changing the 'brain' and increasing emissions on the car.
