The member rating system is bogus

LOL, weeks ago I decided to rate gravill with the lowest rating after seeing that he was rated 5 stars.

I clicked on "rate member" under his name and voted him a "1".

I noticed that only 1 other person had voted for him and came to the obvious conclusion that the "other" person had given him 5 stars.

Anyway, after I had voted "1" star for him, his rating did not change. Wondering why, I decided to log in under my old username (Tom) and vote for him again with "1" star.

Now it's weeks later, and gravill has 3 total votes, two of which are definitely "1" star, yet he's still member rated at 5 stars

LOL, how much bullshit is this member rating crap?

Jesus, I have too much time on my hands lately.......

I really shouldn't give the "secret" away -- just pop a 3 in -- try again.

I think the lower 1 or 2 are blocked...

BTW -- I wish the rating system would go away, but what do I know...

Well, how many speculations to the syncivic topic can there be in a day?

You could always implement a "fuzzy" rating system to really get people talking about their ratings going up and down (without any well defined cause)...

Actually, my rating did go a bit lower. Prior to this thread my weighted rating was 2.89 with 28 total votes. Now I'm 2.66 with 32 total votes.

You bastards
