Meguires vs. Zanio OMG!!!!

Well first of all I used to use Meguries consurmer line, step 1,2,3 since august of 00. well yesturday I finally gave my wax away and got some zaino.

I always saw results posted on here and said to my self, wax is wax, plus I always put like 3 coats of wax on. (thats like after doing step 1 and 2) and I was happy w/ my results.

But after picking up some zfx,z1,z2,z6 and the clay bar and putting 3 coats yesturday and 3 coats today the results are just OMG!!!

I actually saw reflection from my white car

well because if you use zfx w/ z2 you only gotta wait 30 min but the downside is you have to use all the mixture w/in24 hours or else it won't work. I initially made 1 once and ended up w/ 6 coats on the car and still have some left over.
anywayz

my girl brings her car and I clay her car using mothers, then do meguries step 1,2,3 and then finished it off w/ some detailers spray.

We both have taffetta white so it was a good comparison.
Although her paint was smooth as silk and was reflecting a little but a mirror effect like zanio.

Oh and did I mention this is easy as cake omg if I knew it was this easy I would of ditched meguries long time ago hehe

For all you guys still using meguires or any other wax please use zanio. It did cost me a pretty penny but all worth it.

heres some pics take a close look at my door hehe

NOVAwhiteTypeS If I had only known you were in the waxing mood yesterday you could did mine. I want to get some ZAINO on before the PARK AVE ACURA meet next Sunday. I have the stuff here but have not got around to doing it in 2yrs. I use the carwash & the gloss enhacer. I have not got around to doing the whole thing. Maybe in the mourning I could get the car washed & clayed. I don't have the ZFX I have the Z1, Z2, Z5,Z6,Z7 products.
I have no garage so & as you know the weather has been funny the last week. Guys we have had record low temps & normal weather. Today would have been good & now its getting ready to shower again. If I could get Z1 prep & Z5 swirl ,scratch polish on I would be set for tomorrow. I could use my car cover after that & get 2nd coat of Z5 on it Wendsday. I then can switch to the Z2 polish. But if you had did my NighthawkBlack you really could have saw what Zaino could do

Yea, I’ve heard that ZAINO stuff is pretty cool.
I’ll have to give it a try one of these days.

I think there is none better, a couple of coats and your car becomes a mirror.

You mean 1 ounce did SIX coats?? I just started using Zaino this weekend too, and I used 1 ounce per coat.

How much does everyone else use? I'm I using way too much?

I just started using it, and I spent about $43 for 1 bottle of Z-2, Z-6, and ZFX. That's about all you need to start. Unless you want to clay your car, but you can get a cheaper claybar at Auto Zone.

WOAH 1 once for the entire car?? jeezus

when you buy zfx they will give you a 2 ounce zfx mixing bottle. read the instructions carefully you aren't suppose to put that much.

actually when I put mine on i couldn't even tell it was on until it hazed up.

first soak the cotton applicator pad then squeeze all the water out so the zanio don't get soaked in to the applicator pad then use like 3 very thin strips on the applicator pad for each panel. hood counts as 2.

u would think the 2 ounces of Z wouldn't b enough for 3 coats, but it is...barely

and since i like to put on HEAVY coats, it was killing me that i had to exercise such restraint hehe

Thanks for the tip, I have a silver car so I couldn't tell if i was even getting any wax on it. I could only see the wax at certain angles, I guess from now on I'll just trust that it's going on the car.

Ahh...you finally converted to Zaino, eh? Glad you like it, did you get that from that guy down in Arlington like I told you?

Now, I need to go to bed now so I can put on my 5th coat of Zaino tomorrow.

Just remember folks that different waxes work better on different finishes for different criteria (e.g.: durability, haze propensity, gloss improvement, ease of use, etc.). May 2000 Consumers Reports summarizes wax comparos nicely.

I'm not sure Zaino is ideal for moderately weathered finishes and worse, but I think it works beautifully on well maintained or new finshes.

looks great! im currently using meguire's cleaner (1) show car glaze (2) and Gold Class (3). i am happy with the results so far but i am working on acquiring some Zaino i've got the order form filled out and ready to go. i've been hesitant to use zaino before b/c my car is also white and im not sure there would be much of a difference besides the smoothness of the car.
