Megan Headers

I've read several negative comments concerning these headers, but on the A-TL and a-world forum, it seems like no1 has a problem with them. So who here actually has these headers and what are your comments? Thanks.

i think people are getting them for around $230 shipped off ebay. someone on a-tl is trying to get a group buy and someone on v6p is trying to get a group buy for under $200 shipped

From what I understand from the website, these are OBX headers.

nope these arent obx headers nor comptech headers but very similar. Megan sent out a stock v6 header back to taiwan to modify the airflow.

What do you mean they sent the header to Taiwan? They're located in California & that model engine was in US spec vehicles...

Thats true. The same model engine can be found in Taiwan and Japan. Most of their parts are made in taiwan because they have their own factory in Taiwan that make the parts and do the testings. FYI Taiwanese and Japanese people modify their cars a LOT more than we do.

Megan is a differnt company from mugen. Just like spugen, they took on similar names to attract more buyers. I dont know about fake mugens because mugen doesnt even make headers for our cars so i dont know where that came from. As for quality wise, they are t-304 steel and tig welded. The price right now is the introductory price. The thrid batch is coming soon and willbe priced a little higher. And that somene thats trying to set up the groupbuy is me BUT I dont have enough in stock to set it up so it wont be a while until I can set it up.

keep us updated...i'm sorta tempted to buy them myself. Guys over at honda-tech who bought the megan 4-1 itr headers said that the welding was great and that the quality was pretty damn good esp for the money. There haven't been any long term reviews yet....but still for the money...it does seem better than obx. At least there aren't any fitment issues.

great quality i guess then.

when you get those issues worked out, maybe you'd like to inquire about a vendor account?

until then, stop pushing your product here, thanks

Sups guys. New to your forum. I'm actually a resident of v6performance.net. I have a 98 v6 accord coupe with these megan headers. I am also the one who is running a group buy on them. These headers are great quality, they're basically a clone of the comptech headers. They are made overseas and shipped into cali. I have pm'd the group buy mod to see if I can start a group buy for you guys. These headers will fit the TL/CL 99-02.

here is the link to the v6 website:

If you want to advertise or run a group buy contact Smitty, Astro or Soopa.. - Jonesi

I love mine, they've given it a pretty good sound as well as performance. I will admit that I have no solid dyno, but it is noticable, and someday I will get a dyno. I'm just busy with work, like and well money is a factor.

peace

Would be interested if the make a fitment for the CT/TLs.

They look pretty good from the picture. Better than the other non-Comptech variations.

I have pm'd Soppa, I apologize if I was advertising, I wanted people to be able to read what the product was to gauge intrest before I submit a group buy here.

Thank you for not removing the post entirely.

I would like to say they're good quality and they're making a good name for themsleves. There's a quite a few post about the headers on other websites.

But as usual check out stuff before you buy.

I never understood why people who spend $30k+ on a car cheap out on a mod as important to the engine as headers.

I'm one of the guilty myself, and if I could do it again, I'd go Comptech all the way. I haven't had any problems, but just the small possibility that there could be is unnerving.
