Max Miles before Supercharger

I remember when I had my 00 honda civic si, I was told by my mechanic that once I hit over 80,000 miles, then I would not want to put a supercharger on there. For realiability issues in long lasting. Would that be the same for my 03 6 speed Acura CLS. I have around 70,000 miles on the car right now, and would like to get a supercharger.

Mileage should have nothing to do with it. As long as the car has been properly been maintained and is up to date on it's scheduled maintenance there should be no reason you can't supercharge. Some would recommend a rebuild of a higher mileage engine before supercharging.

Yes, those Sinfoni amps are nice. I am now using celestra amps, they are also made in Italy, and have a very nice small footprint. My car is almost complete with the new audio system installed.

I just read your other thread that u only paid 2k so i guess the cl-s is worth more then the used supercharger but a new supercharger is more then a 01 cl-s with 160k.
Galves (what dlrs use for trade in) when I checked the CL-s last summer it said the CLS was 5K with 100k miles and then subtrack 100 for ever 1k miles over that so according to the book my car was worthless with 150k miles....LOL...

Okay...so you are mentioning dealer trade in value...I never look at that.

That's going to always be a low value but I get what you are saying.

I know thats going to be the LOW value but EVERY dlr goes by that VALUE some dlr might say there giving you more for the trade but in reality they are taking money off the front end which is the new car u are buying.
You dont know how many people think there car are worth 1000's when there looking to trade it in but if the where buying the same car they are trding in they think its woth 100's.. Funny..
I love dealing with people though!

Some people dont like having strangers come to there house to drive the car , some people dont have the car they want to sell paid off therfore dont have title in hand and now its hard to get a loan from a bank if u are buying from 3rd party.
A car thats onle a few grand is easier to sell privatly then a car that is going to be 15-20k.
I agree with u 100% I would never trade a car in but u would be suprised on the people out here. I am in north NJ and people will lose 5-10k just so they are not bothered by it becouse there time is money!
