Malfunction Indicator Lamp

Alright, need help (CL-S AT). I searched other threads but it didnt help with my current problem/issue. MY MIL stays lit and after a minute of driving my VSA lights up and stays lit. The owners manual indicates that when the MIL lights up "one of the engines emissions control systems may have a problem." But, that shouldnt make the VSA light up? Any suggestions, I am having Acura look at it tommorow, but wanted advice before I drop it off. Possible tranny issues? Any help is appreciated!!

Go to AutoZone and have the code(s) read. It's free.

But if you're gonna take it to the dealership anyway, then don't worry about it.

The two lights you mentioned lighted on different occasions prior to my 5AT going north. Initially, the dealer could not pinpoint the exact problem from the computer codes. He replaced the throttle body to no avail. Eventually, the trans failed.

Thanks for the response, when I dropped off the car this morning, the service tech was thinking it was the tranny.

One week before my tranny went the check engine light came on. Then about 2 days before it went the VSA light came on.
Did the tranny start sticking or slipping?

I didnt notice any slippage, but when hard accelarating it seemed to bogg down when trying to downshift. FYI - My 1st tranny went at 40K, but I had no warning, it just went.
