Making an extra cruise switch, do something else

So , I pulled this switch from the Nevada PaP out of an accord .
I wanna make it do something simple , maybe use it to be the fog light button on/off .
The colors go as shown ....

Just wire power to the switch. Have the switch give power to the fogs. Just some simple wiring.

But if you're going to do that, why not just wire the fog light switch to do that?

2 signal wires (power and ground for whatever you're controlling), 1 ground for the dimmer, 1 power for the actual dimmer, and 1 signal for the dimmer... this is all from memory of course, might not be accurate

all of these wires can be sourced from the surrounding buttons.

Yea, I still have the interior.

You should just use a multimeter to find which wires do what.

What's a multimeter ? Is that the thing with the positive negative things and all the volts or watts choices ?

Yes.

I used a TL fog switch to turn on my amp. And yes, I used all of the wires. Some are used to illuminate the button as said above but you can just tap those. There's really only 2 main wires you have to worry about.
