my brother has an s2000 and his maintanance required light goes on every 7500 miles. Now my girlfriends recently purchased 01 CLS maintanance required light is flashing when the car is turned on and after a few seconds shuts off. In an CLS when does this light come on? Every what miles? Also does it mean its ready for an oil change or what? Also how do I reset the light?

 

the CLS light comes on permenently at 7500 miles. The closer you get to that milage the longer it will blink when you 1st start your car. mine started to blink around 5000 miles. As far as restting it im not sure

 

The manual contains instructions for resetting the light. Do a search on here, if she doesn't have the manual.
