I just rolled 3k on my ride and was wondering when the light will come on and how to reset it. I get my oil changed somewhere other than the dealer. I know these guys and trust them. They have been changing the oil in my C5 for a couple of years. The light isn't on yet. When will it come on?

The light should come on at about 6,000 & it will blink for 2 seconds each time you start car. The light will stay on constant if not reset if you exceed 7,500 miles.

 

The last time my car was serviced the Acura dealer forgot to reset it. Once it came on and stayed on I finally got tired of looking at it and checked the manual. It's easy to reset: 1)Turn off the engine. 2)Press and hold both the set and reset buttons for the tachometer (to the right of the gauges). 3)While holding the buttons in, start the engine and wait 5-10 seconds.
