M5 Spoiler (Fear?)
Just got my spoiler, and I took a look at the tape, kinda put it to my car and now I thinking that, that thing will come off easily. With the bend that you have to make anyone fear the thing coming off, or am I just paranoid?!

Blown is Best
With mine, we heated it up with a heat gun to add more curvature to it before we painted it. The OEM spoiler is flexible so that should not be an issue. Clean both surfaces and apply. I used 3M Adhesive and wax remover to prep the surfaces.

I too was worried about it to but everyone assured me it would stick.
I cleaned the area to be taped with degreaser and lightly set 6" of the spoiler on the trunk, it wasn't lined up right so I had to reposition it. I couldn't believe how much force it took to get off the trunk. I thought for sure it would take the paint off the trunk, though it didn't.
BTW it's only a slight bend, I hung the spoiler between two chairs and left it in the sun for a day and ended up with the perfect contour. Never thought of using a heat gun.
I bought a replica and it's very flexible. I was able to bend it so the two ends were touching. It's been 2 years and no problems.

Hey guys, I got an M5 spoiler, the replica that is. The thing is really flexible so i have no problem there but each time i spray the damn thing the paint keeps on cracking up . Do you have suggestions or should i go to a high priced place and see what happens after i get them to spray it.

CL M5 spoiler...
I recently had the M5 lip spoiler added to my 01 CLS. It looks awesome! I paid $40 for paint and installation. I'm at work now, but I'll get a pick to post later...
