M5 Lip Spoiler -- Dumb Question about Prep

I just got my lip spoiler. I think it's going to look nice.

:o OK, here goes, someone will thank me for it...

Should I stick the double sided tape onto the spoiler before or after I have it painted? In other words, does the tape stick better to a painted or a non-painted spoiler? And, does having the tape on interfere with the painting process?

Slimey, you can always ask the painter to leave an area of the bottom rough and adhesive friendly, it's really no problem. IMHO, just get the WHOLE thing painted, then stick the adhesive on.

just tell the body shop that you are going to use 3m tape to stick it down...they did not paint a strip on the bottom of my spoiler and it is holding great. Good luck and use a good paint shop that knows what they are doing.
