Question M3 style lip spoiler

is starting to lift up on the right side. I guess the glue is getting weak. Anyone every experience this?

What should I use to re attach it?

Thanks guys.

this is (more than likely) a dumb question...

but I've never taken off my stock spoiler. Will the m3 lip spoiler cover the stock spoiler bolt holes or no?

No holes man just tape. Use a heat gun or a hair dryer if you dont have access to a heat gun. Then slowly start to pry it off and once its off you can retape it using the 3m double sided tape.

Make sure to clean the surface very well before applying the new tape.

I'd say that they probably make a tape or adhesive that is strong enough you can buy over the counter...as krazykrnboi said.

And if you really want the sure fire way...contact a body shop and ask them what they would recommend.

Advice should be free...then you could see what's their charge for a service like that.

body shops use 3m double sided tape from what i know. they just use wax grease remover and clean the area, then place the tape and stick. hf taking the tape off cause u need to get it all off to have a sure, even stick to the lip and decklid. its easy if u have wax grease remover and just rub over the tape, it will turn gooey and u just rub ur thumb up and down and it will slowly come off. u might get a blister so dont over do it lol.

Should have used some of that when I was having a difficulty removing the last bit of glue from my badges...it was totally baked on there.

Damaged my paint trying to remove it.

Ha ha...yup.

Thanks...after the fact.

Nobody believed me that I was having trouble removing the last glue residue.

Goo Gone...paint cleaner....nothing worked....very frustrating...

^ No...LOL

Still a lingering bit of residue that I need a Porter Cable and polishing compound to remove.

I was started to chip the paint...so I left it alone...LOL
