the M5 looks much better, the M3 spoiler will look like something is missing from it; (The M5 is small enough as it is)...

I say get it; love the look. So subtle.

I wish someone would have the ball (cash) to experiment with the RS6 or GS spoiler; apparently someone's working on the GS spoiler, but no progress pics

I'm not so sure i'm a fan of the GS430 spoiler -

i remember type r saying that the scion TC spoiler was a perfect fit; and if I remember correctly, someone mentioned the audi a6 spoiler but was too scared to try it.

there's some options out there. i've had my m5 lip spoiler for quite some time now, and to tell you the truth, i'm thinkin of either molding it or tryin a different spoiler.

m5 spoiler. Fits perfectly and DO NOT get the replica. It has an inferior feel to it.

they're damn near the same thing...as cltypeslow said, the authentic is a bit more flexible. Another thing is SUPPOSEDLY the replicas chip easier

did you get the one off ebay or ccc? do you need a heat gun to mount or is it just 3m tape? why does it look like the tips are not flush with the trunk. its not very noticeable but when i looked really closely at your pic it looks like theres a lil gap.

sorry it took so long....i used a heat gun and 3m the first time i installed. and the sides popped up as soon as summer came around and it got hot. i had it reinstalled when i had my front bumper repainted from rock chips for free. he used some sort of 3m adhesive the 2nd time but it was higher stickiness. it is starting to pop up a little now, but its not THAT noticable. i think if i would have spent more time shaping it it would have fitted better. oh well thats what i get for rushing.

make sure you tell body shop that paints it to use lots of flex primer.

I guess I did a bad job of describing. When I first ordered it lip, it was a replica and it was flimsy, like a rubber hose. I mean really cheap. I would imagine if you put it on your trunk and squeezed it, it would feel like rubber. I sent that crap back and got an authentic BMW lip and it was waay more rigid, I think polyeurothane (or whatever its made of). This definitly "felt" like a actual car part.

Hope that clarifies it a bit.

Baylove, just throw it on the car, then align it. Make sure to use a STRONG adhesive!

Actually the fact that you don't know how to click the "quote" button makes it even harder to understand what you're really trying to convey.

That said, I DOUBT any spoiler feels like a "rubber hose". what kind of is that!?! Furthermore, the fact you describe the spoiler as it "definately felt like an actual car part" just further proves that you've never checked under your hood before. Might wanna open that up once in a while to change your oil. There's some rubber hoses down there too.

No. It's about an inch too short. The m5 is the perfect length for our trunk line.
