M1-104 filter

I was planning to switch to Mobil 1 filter from PureOne Puralator.

Are there any fit problems with M-104? I was reading somewhere that they might leak oil, is this true?

Did anyone have any problems installing them or leaking oil?

Something intresting I read about Honda filters (Honda advertisment)

What's so special about Genuine Honda oil filters, and why should I use them?

Not all filters are created equal. Genuine Honda oil filters are designed specifically for your car and fit your engine exactly. They combine superior filtering ability with durability. Incompatible or poorly made filters can be difficult to remove and replace. They might restrict oil flow and may also leak. This can cause major mechanical problems — with no warning.

Here are a few ways Genuine Honda oil filters protect your car:

Variable Density Filter Paper: This specially designed paper is folded in a complex pattern and inserted in a small space. It combines a large filtering surface with cleaning efficiency. Certain areas can trap contaminants as small as 6 microns in size; the remainder can trap contaminants 20 microns in size — the ones that cause major component wear.

O-Ring Seal: This type of seal is more efficient than the flat-style gasket used in many economy filters. It assures more solid contact between the filter base and the engine mounting base.

Anti-Drainback Valve: This prevents "dry starts," a problem that occurs when oil fails to reach components during the critical initial starting period.

By-Pass Valve: This safety valve opens automatically if the filter becomes clogged or creates abnormally high pressure so oil can continue to lubricate critical components. Economy filters without this feature may not allow oil to reach your engine's critical lubrication points.

I've been using Mobil 1 for years without problems.

The M-104 fits perfectly and is a perfect oem replacement.

The M-105 also fits without error and is an excellent oversized filter.
