Lubrication Question

I was thinking of changing my tranny fluid to redline, does anyone know if that will void my warranty.

Time for my first oil change also, any recommendations on synthetic oils. Anyone else out there changing their own oil?

Acura recommends using their factory recommended Honda ATF. Comptech may require a change to Redline ATF with their bolt-on supercharger kit (too early to know for sure). For now, stick to the factory- recommended Honda ATF to cover your ass.

I use Mobil 1 in my car and like it (used it for years). IMO – Redline, Mobil and others make great synthetic oils.

Only supposed to use Honda auto transmission fluid. No one has disputed that! It may void your warranty if you tell them it's not Honda fluid. Owner's manual is very specific on this point.

I have contacted AMSOIL engineering dept (they invented automotive synthetic oil) and they said no don't use their trans oil only use HONDA. Also if you dig deep enough on the MOBIL1 web page you'll find that they don't recommend their synthetic trans oil for HONDA's. There's a guy on the TL board (ROADRAGE) that is sold on REDLINE . Sooooooo I would suggest only use Honda Trans oil.

Last time I checked with RedLine, even they recommended sticking with Honda ATF (Z1 formulation).
