Lowered suspension vs NYC

Drove to NYC, got back today. This was my first real trip with my car lowered. The car was better then I though with all the BIG NYC pot holes & bad roads. The ride was ok. I had rental cars that were worse. However I don't understand how you NY people can live with a lowered car on these roads. I was scraping my front end all over the place, & I only have a CT drop! Thank God I had the bra on the car. That took the scrapes rather then my front bumper. FYI Staten Island has the WORST roads out of the city. The West Side HW is 2nd.

Also came back with a nice big door ding. Have no idea where it came from. I didn't park next to any car. NY found a way

I think they need to check the potholes for missing people...

I know some places in Philly are horrible, never been in NYC driving, only in other parts of the state.

I think Boston with their construction has some worse roads than Philly, but only in the construction areas.

Walking to school i can tell how bad the roads look in NYC. I had to drive through NYC last week on way to NJ and i've got to say the roads in downtown NYC really aren't that bad. There are places out on the island that are much worse.

I'm curious fellas...

What is up with NYC? Do you guys not pay property tax for the enormous amount of expensive real estate? Why do I always see people complain about the city's very poor road conditions? Man, I'm glad I live on the west coast...a pot hole is fixed within 48 hours here..

it's the weather and massive amounts of wear and tear with traffic. to stop traffic would be a huge monkey wrench. coming over to NYC from the GW in NJ, it gets crazy, the holes can get pretty deep. one point I had a comptech drop, 19' on 35 series rubber and my bodykit, I was going 10mph tryin not to get fucked up. I made it and scraped on a driveway at a carwash the next day, fate owns.

yea staten island is the worst when it comes to the roads. theres always construction but nothing ever seems to get done until u try to get reimbursed for blown tires, then everything gets fixed 1-2-3
