holy shit man. my friend down the street has a 95 impala SS and i whoop his ass all the time. if you live in the bay area, i'll tell you his address so you too can whoop all over him

HAHA, if you take the 2nd link one of the guys says our cars stop at 130mph.

 

I have 3 kills on Impaler SS's and one draw.
Each of the stock SS's I was able to pull 2-3 car length by 0-100.
The draw started pulling on me after 80mph but had a Vortec sticker in his front window.
The accompanying redneck Red Wings sticker was on the back window. This guy after not being able to pass me by 100 yelled "rice burner" at the next light. I smiled and responded, "I'd be jealous too if I was driving a UAW-built piece of trash".
The rednecks response was "F--- You, I work at Wayne assembly". I smiled and did such a hallacious hole shot, entered a cloverleaf and he couldn't catch me. All I could see is smoke out my rear view, fom oil I assume. So embarassed , I think, he took the emergency turn around on the e-way

What I do know is with headers an exhaust Impalas gain 60 to the wheels. I dont know what kind of difference it gives in time though.

Very simple. I have torque. No Acura is going to beat my SS from the line or anything else. Especially that liar who claimed to have beat one 3 car lengths. Typical rice boys. Buy rice, eat rice. Talk rice.

bottom line. you can MAKE an Impala faster than almost any car on the street. Sorry but stock for stock they are miserably slow. I have beat up on so many Impalas that it's not even worth posting. And, I'm stock rolling on some heavy ass 19's. For some reason there is a part of me that thinks Impalas are cool cars. they're also overweight and underpowered by todays standards. I think they're sweet though.

I love the look and speed of an impala...in fact my family almost bought one. But why is it that rednecks act so stupid and always talk about rice burners.....there is no1 on the site that comes close to rice....the cl is a classy car.

There is the other extreme of ricers who do think that all american cars suck and their civic with new konigs, fuel lines, and a muffler will kill any z28.

Impala SS, whooaaaa LT1 in there watch out. Eh, I ran one the only time I brought my GS-R to the track, on one of my worse 60fts, gave up two car lengths by the 330ft mark, came by and had a car length on top at the trap...and yeah, I've been smoked by Type-S' in the GS-R.

Hell, stock, the Impala isn't even that fast. The several I have seen that were bone stock were in the 15.0-15.2 range. Undoubtedly, the LT1 can be modified well, and pretty cheaply, but stock for stock, it is equal, if not a shade slower than the CLS in the quarter mile.

Ha Im just messing with you guys. I agree that the Impala SS is not that great. Well it was when I was a kid. But now that im grown and intelligent, I own a Stang. But the TL is a nice car. Maybe when I can afford it. Got to stick with domestics till I get a better job you know. I had to post that since im getting so many TL stories.
