Looking for some fogs

I've got an 03 CLS and i really want to put some fog lights in the vacant spaces at either end of the front bumper.

So far i'm considering these from www.suvlights.com

4" Round HID Fog Lights (Model 900)

Free Form design for precise light distribution.
Heavy Duty Die Cast Aluminum housings.
Specially Hardened Glass Crystal Lens
Extremely Rigid Stainless Steel Brackets.

German made PHILIPS LVQ ballasts and D2R Xenon bulbs with a complete wireless remote harness and aluminum ballast mounting cases for easy installation.

Still haven't measured but i assume they'd fit. Also I'd go all out with these and make sure i'm able to setup the OEM TL fog lights switch in that empty space on the console to the right of the moon roof controls.

Anyone have these or any thoughts oh which set to go with?

i've been told u can just take the bulb housing and put it in the stock driving lights area... and that way you have HID driving lights. someone at the LI meet a few weeks back had done that... forgot who though. those lights look good though chap! tell me how they fit, i'm considering gettin those too

good find!

I guess I'm confused. Unless you are going to cut the bumper I do not see how anything over 2.5' would fit in the roadlamps space.

True but the one at the meet was a TL which has glass OEM fog lights...they can handle the heat of HID. Us CL's have plastic road lamp housings which would melt w/ HID's inside.

yeah im confused too. theirs no way those are fitting in the little cutouts, unless ur going to cutout the inside piece, and mount the lights behind the cutout so just the bulb is showing.

those wouldve fit perfect in my old grand am though.

maybe it's just me, but I think the 01-02 Roadlamp housing looks good, would look especially good on Anthracite, and could be made wuith custom switch and what not

Yeah i didn't go out and measure yet so i wasn't sure whether they would fit or not. I see now that they won't.

Anyone recommend a set of HID fogs, preferably round, that will fit in the empty road lamp spot?

without the bracket, it might fit. I have a tls and the max fit is 4 inches in height. THe cl looks like its a little taller so I think you can either drill the screw from top down or find other ways to fasten it without the bracket.

I would say the max height is around 3", at least on my '02. I see no way that those are going to fit.
