Looking into getting Comptech Sways...
Hi, I am looking into getting the Comptech Sways, I know a lot of you guys have em and am wondering if they are all they are cracked up to be? I did a search on Sways and to my suprise didnt find much, I did however find a thread asking what is your favorite MOD and the sways seemed to be the favorite of the most. So here goes, 1.) Is there a Noticable difference is everyday driving? 2.) Would you reccommend getting springs or sways for the first suspension upgrade? 3.) Could I do the installation myself (have done CAI, Brakes, Exhaust) ?? I am looking to get more predictable turning without feeling like I am riding in a Rice Rocket? Sways for me? Any info is appreciated Thnx,

Look forward to your response, My suspension is stock as of now, to me it feels stiffer than my Maxima I had before but still feels like it should be wayyyy more responsive. Again look forward to your responses to the sways...

you WILL feel a difference with the sways. i thikn that's why it's people's first choice mod, because it makes a difference everytime you make a turn, unlike headers and CAI which can only be used when you really step on the gas (i guess some of you use these all the time too though ).
i'd get the sways first, and then the springs if you feel they are necessary. i didn't get the springs because i don't want to sacrifice the ride, and feel the sways are sufficient enough for the way i drive.

Sways would be my first choice as mrdeeno said. The difference is noticeable. In corners, your car just tucks in and feels more tight. Not that heavy, wide, leaning feeling.
Personally, I would get sways and shocks at the same time. The difference is night and day compared to stock. Ride is firmer, but not like a go-kart feeling.

The sways a great! They remove a good portion of the roll w/o sacrificing ride quality one bit.

The sways are amazing! The car stays so flat on hard corners and turns... No more feeling like you are on two wheels.
Make sure you get them from Tim at www.autocarparts.com

I am doing the same. I just hit 40,000 miles on these pigs (OEM tires) and am waiting for my Bridgestone Pole Position S03's (225/45/17) any day now ! Can't wait to get the full icing from the sways !

So What do you think, Do you think the ACURA CL can take the PO-PO in the long run? I think we can just need some mods, the acura is a fine piece of machinery that is certified my ACURA and can take a lot of M3s and Audi's....

but the difference between stock cl-s and comptechs is still very noticable.

If you really want to have fun with this, put on your sways first and drive with your stock tires for awhile. Notice how good it feels and how well the car handles.
Then, put on your new tires and be prepred to be taken to a whole different level. I would say that new performance tires makes as much of a difference as the sway bars, no kidding! In order of how much different the car feels after each mod, I would say that tries and sways are tied for first followed by springs a distant second.
