What kinda screen? Size? 8.4? Nits? Is it touch screen?

What GPS unit you running? USB? Serial?
I see your running Delorme gps system

Are you using a VIA mini ITX setup and if so: which one?

Very f-N cool i'm sure you have been hanging around mp3car.com?

Good work!!!

Excellent freaking work. Looks hot as hell.

How did it feel when driving around? Isn't that a bit too low to keep looking down at?

hey thanks for comments everyone. the screen is a t view vga screen that gets the vga signal from my laptop mount under the passenger side dash. its not a touch screen, so the input device will be a remote with specific programmed key. i didnt want a touch screen because it degrade image quality with the overlay, plus i will only be running a couple of applications at a time (gps + itunes) so a programed remote serve me much better. i had put a lot of thoughts into the location of the lcd. a higher mount location is prefered, but in the end simplicity ruled over.

the wheels are hp evo on my acura cl, now RIP.

the sun came out today, and i had a chance to play with it in direct sunlight. i thought glare or viewing in sunlight would be a big problem or impossible, however, the screen was design to be used outdoor, so it doesnt reflect as much light. it looks pretty good in sunlight actually.

here is a pic where the sun hit the screen at about 60 degree angle.
