lock noise

lock noise

you know that small chime noise when you press the lock on the keyless entry. well were is it located becuase my cls does not make that noise anymore?

you have to press the button twice to get the chime. So if you're in the hood, remember 2 times for the thugs

yeah but my problem is that it dosent make that noise anymore...

The “beep” speaker is under one of the front fenders.
I can’t remember if it’s the drivers or passengers side.
The HELM is at home.
I’ll check tonight if I remember unless someone else beats me to it.

u know how the car WON'T chime if the hood is open???? maybe it's possible the hood is like half opened or something...how bout popping it open and closing it, see what happens

maybe the wiring to the speaker shorted out

Yes, that's the car locking the doors but not setting the alarm since it would automatically start going off since it would sense the open trunk/hood.

I was correct, it’s behind the inner fender liner on the passengers side.
It’s held on with two screws.

It’s connected with a 2-conductor plug.
It says to test the buzzer, apply battery power to the No. 2 terminal and ground to the No. 1 terminal.

I hope this helps.

I bet one of the alarm sensors is malfunctioning for some reason or another trunk, hood, doors... Does the display on the dash show anything ajar?

i believe you are on to something! ever since my accident the hood does not close all the way so it is possible that this is the problem! my car should be ready friday so ill see if it works

thanks shawn hopefully its because the hood was not latched properly. but even if its a malfunctioning thing it dosent look to hard to replace and will probably be covered under warranty

im curious why it doesnt beep when you unlock it.....i kind of like the beep sound....i guess i could get an aftermarket alarm, but then again it doesnt bother me that much
