Location to plug in code reader?

Friends, I borrowed a code reader from a buddy and plugged it into the plug under the steering column-all it shows is "no code" and gives RPM/MPG/etc info. Is there another location for a code reader to plug into?

All 03's have it under the steering wheel.
If it says no code & you don't have a CEL on then your ok.

fuzzy- not to sound ignorant, but what does CEL mean? Thanks. If it reads no code, and the VSA,ABS, and /!\ lights are on, doesn't that mean i only need to have something reset? Thanks.

Check engine light
With those lights on, sounds like your trans is shot.

CEL is NOT on. Shouldn't be the tranny, the lights came on directly after I broke the left front ABS speed sensor when replacing the steering knuckle....I installed a new one....

Kill your battery for 10 minutes then. Those lights should turn off if it was the speed sensor.
