Lightening Auto Flywheel?

Is it possible to lighten the flywheel on our 5spd autos?

no ...because we dont have a fly wheel...we do however have a torque convertor and if you have someone build one with a higher stall speed you can get a stronger launch...about 500-600$ with exchange...

... ditto. And for those of you with manual trannies, look into getting a lightened flywheel. I have one on my Accord and that made a hell of a difference in acceleration. It also revs up like a motorcycle now

I'm right in thinking there's a bolt on plate in there that rotates though and is directly coupled right? We could lighten that correct?

yeah, it's called the flex-plate and I don't think you can lighten it. It's already pretty flimsy... just connects the T/C to the crank. My Accord's one (when I converted it auto-->manual) was steel, but thin and full of holes, no place for lightening. It is only about 2 lbs. anyway...

A guy that used to post on this board put a torque converter in the Auto. OMFG it worked very well.
