Lexol

Today I want to treat my leather with Lexol. I just read a post that said a person got spots on their seats after they used this. Is this bad conditioner or something?

It came out pretty good. It also removed some of the "hair" coming out of the perforations. If I were u, I would get Zaino leather treament.

I use Lexol on my seats. There's a cleaner and a conditioner. Get a bottle of each and some terry cloth wrapped sponges. Maybe the guy that got spots applied the Lexol directly to the seats. Don't do that. Apply it to the sponge and rub it into the leather. When cleaning the seats. don't let your sponge dry out. Keep it moist, but not wet. If you keep it moist, a little cleaner goes a long way. Don't use too much cleaner because it will suds up like crazy and take forever to get out. The Zaino leather stuff give a very nice new leather smell, but Lexol is better for actually cleaning and conditioning it.

here's some advice my friend passed along to me from his upholstery guy regarding lexol conditioner: rub it in with your hands and let is sit for a long time, preferably all day when it's warm.

I've got to try something one of these days too. I've heard Lexol was good, but some more tips are always a plus.

I got my Lexol from a Schucks type store. It was $14.99 for both. I looked at a few web sites and they were selling for like $10 each plus shipping....

Lexol isn't good... it's great!
Follow the tips that mdaniel mentioned and you'll do fine.

The best things I found
- Got rid of the "hairs" sticking out of the leather. I hated those...
- No scent. I don't like having any kind of strange smells in my leather (unless they're coming from out of my bum...)
