RE: 1998+accord v-6 headers developement:
i've emailed once before ,with no answer.I'm inquiring about the accord v-6 headers developement progress..i am a senior memeber of the largest acura-cl BB,(www.acura-cl.com ) I'm sure you're aware that the new '01 acura cl and type-S share the same platform as the 98+v-6 accord, as well as '99+ acura tl including '01-'02 models..there are a hudge number of performance minded owners anexiously awaiting competition with the only company currently offereing headers for this platform(comptech-usa). At a cost of 1249$ u.s. retail your cost and equally as important you performance numbers will weigh greatly on the in excess of 500 performance minded owners purchasing from you or setteling on the "only game in town." Any information you can provide me with at this time will get fowarded to those intrested parties a list of which, I would gladly make available to you .Not to imply confirmed sales, but rather,genuine intrest. thank you for your attention in this matter...Steve Ashby

I just sent them this email...if i get a reply i will post it here...hopefully this may wake them up alittle?

 

The response I received to similar e-mail inquiry back in mid-March was that they were welding pipes to flanges and that they needed to finish making the jigs.

I called them in mid-April to follow up and I was surprised by how genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and patient the guy was answering my questions. He spent a long time explaining what their company was doing and I was really hoping they were going to be the first ones to give CT some competition. At that time, he said they were swamped cranking out Maxima and Jeep products but that they'd have pics of their prototype V6 headers on their web site in a couple weeks (remember, this was back in mid-April). I've checked their site regularly since but haven't seen any updates. Unfortunately, it appears that the occasional e-mail/call hasn't proven to be a big enough incentive for them to continue with their original plans. Let's just hope they respond with positive news to your e-mail...

 

Bro, maybe next time you can have someone proofread your letter. I briefly read the letter and counted at least six misspellings. It would add a higher level of legitimacy and professionalism to your inquiry. IMHO

wow...atleast im consistant in my errors "intrested""hudge" dont know where that came from LOL oh well, like tinman said, this guy seems down home and im sure he wont hold it against us. however i appologize as i did represent acura-cl in this, and hope i didnt embarass any of you too much ...btw this is not sarcasim ...i went back and spell checked it was little off anyway just got off the phone with them they do have a price targeted below 800$ and they are to be a three peice design ,similar to that of the comps...he did say he hoped to be selling them by september but like tinman has reminded us, that has been said before .they also said to expect an annoucement soon couple weeks again sounds fimiliar...more to follow
