I could afford a Mustang GT when I was 17, and back then I knew better than to buy a domestic POS.

Lemme guess, you wanna troll here now and tell us how great your Rustang five point slow is don't ya! Well our cars can keep up with your cars and were 2 cylinders short.

Ok baby huey, what's so great about a ford?

Don't sink to his level. Besides, why do you think folks from stangnet are coming here?

If he is stupid enough to buy a rustang he probably has lots of other rustang friends who will show him how to put on a helmet and track it. Honestly, I would rather argue with a Camry owner than to have to argue with domestic idiots. Tom2 can I argue with you some more?

ok, ..um...y r u here on our board, dawgin our cars? ...jealousy can do some incredibly awkward things to some people...hm...

anyways, in response to ur little "essay" that u puuled out of your a$$, i just have some comments

A)u have a ford
B)U have a ford
C)You have a ford
D)You have a FORD
--ford=domestic=authentic/genuine p.o.s--
E)We bought our cars because we wanted the dressings on our ride..do you have a bose sound system? perforated leather sports seats? wood trim? vsa? XENON lites?
no, you don't. you have a engine on wheels, and im sure if our cars were stripped to the naked equipment level or your little joyride, we could rape you and yours...type-s can surely hold their own against mere GT's if not kill them...oh, and if ur ego is as big as it sounds, i highly reccomend that you put your money where your obviously large mouth is and go out and race a type-s er, you just might get a reality check

Well, you guys sure have shown this one how easily manipulated this board is. Within hours of his/her post a post-war has been started. Don't bother talking about how you could beat a standard GT, especially at the track---because you can't. Hopefully that is not why you bought a CL-S though. Why he has come here I don't know but it should go to show you what they do over there a lot.
I think our point would have gone over much better if NO ONE had responded to his post. It's not quite as much fun being the villiage idiot when no one pays attention to you.
By the way Lelick, isn't your villiage missing you by now?

Having owned and paid for both a brand new 1986 Mustang SVO and a 1994 Mustang GT i can tell you this:they were both fun cars to drive but 1 blown headgasket,2 blown rear axles, countless oil leaks especially rear main seals, two bad ABS computers, front brakes that never could be made to stop shimmying,a six month long wait to get the damn SVO and then it overheated on the first trip home and was missing the wheel centercaps which took another two weeks to obtain.Well I think you get the picture that these cars and the company that created them are not really on the ball. Are these cars fast?YES! are they reliable? NO! are they well built? NO!would I buy another?NOOO! Jens

Whats the matter lelick? Upset because you have the slowest car in YOUR class (Way beneath a CL B-T-W)? Why didn't you buy a Z28 (that car at least has some balls). Oh yeah- and my vette will destroy you every time you try and come up next to me. Have a nice day MORON.

When I think of Mustang nuts this pretty much sums it up.

Also, I do lurk on Stangnet. That means I don't post. I just read and laugh. Especially the ones who are liberal, hate conservatives, and drive gas guzzling polluters. If any of you are here, Did you know Gore wanted to phase out the internal combustion engine bt 2011? Repeat after me... 86 octane gas... $5.50/gallon....

You need one of these:

All I got to say is, when I raced one of your TYPE S buddies, with a basically stock mustang with OVER 200K miles on the engine and tranny, He couldn't loose me. Also I thought all of you Type s bought your cars because they were nice luxury cars, not racing cars. We by our stangs to race and we have everything that your type s has, (except for a navigation system, but then again why do you really need a navigation system in a "race car") All I see from you signatures are sticker update (good only for rice powers) and maybe some other bullshit. I will race any of you fools for badges, If any one of you can take me (I have close to 500 horses at the wheels before NOS) I will let you come to my car and rip off my mustang badge, if I win say "bye bye" to your "TYPE S" sticker. Anyone willing to stand up to the challenge please feel free to respond.

P.S. I spent about half of what your car cost, for my whole car with all of my upgrades.

1993 Mustang LX convert. California Concepts Edition, white on white on white, 347 stroker engine, NOS, gears, Pullies, headers, full exhaust system, a full Bilstein Suspenion ( I will take any of you on turns), I also have a REAL MANUAL TRANSMISSION, ( Sorry for all of you people who don't know what a MANUAL transmission feels like), Saleen Kit, Light bar, and much more, but I'm sick of listing everything. No STICKERS on my $hit( I've got all the rice eating power I need.

If you are riding a Ferrari, diablo, or even a Porshe I would say Wow! That's a sucker

However, since you are driving an iron block, drager ... sorry I am not impressed. At any drag strip you can find a monster 10-12sec drager for $5k. SO what, you are right we bought our CLS for what it is... speed, luxury, and comfort. The smart choice.

Well, CLS is doing 80-95 and you feel that you are stand still impressive hugh!...

I also like german cars, BMW and MB and anyone who says that those cars are crap is a pure ignorant and idiot. The downside of german car is just the price. Acura and CLS in specific are the smart alternative to the 3 Series.

I like being called "smart", so I bought my CLS.

Have a nice day

im soryr i love the cl but i hate the domestic bashing. Have you ever heard of a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It cheaper than our car and can run with it. Domestics dont neccesarily suck.

I really don't understand any of this. The CL-S is a way better car than any Mustang. Sure, if you want to go really fast and drag race your car, then go with a Mustang. But, if you want a sporty luxury coupe with a comfortable ride, many standard features and won't break down left and right, go with the CL-S. The only thing that's similar between the Mustang and the CL-S is the fact that they are both coupes. They are like night and day after that.

And this is coming from someone who always used to buy domestic cars. I converted when I got the CL-S. I'm glad I did. There are still domestic cars that I like but I've never liked the Mustang.

Yep you are right I would take a corvette over CLS anytime... I love Corvette as a fun car... So, it does not suck.

BTW, I was not bashing, driving a 500 wheel-HP on the street is rediculous. High Power street cars are not those dragers we see at the strip, those cars are elite cars, corvette, Viper, Ferrari, Porshe, Lambos....

CLS is a domestic car afterall.

In the 2001 Mustang you can get heated seats, just set them on fire.

AcuraClS = Luxury, Speed, Class

Mustang = Speed, White Castle, Grape Soda, hairy knuckled friends who go to clubs and hit on girls that the CLS boys take home at the end of the night.

The reason Stangs are cheaper is just that... they are cheap. Build quality sucks. I've driven in Fords all the time. The only respectable Ford I ever drove was a rented Grand Marquis with 5,000 miles.
My brother's 93 Thunderbird is the biggest POS I have ever driven. My father's Lincoln (he now has a Mercedes) was even worse and it was three years old. I'm glad the Mark VIII was destroyed. Rattles after the first year? Unnacceptable. Moy, my father was so pissed when that $45,000 car didn't start. I had to drive two hours to pick him up in my '87 Legend.
You may have 5 liters, but if you don't have the brains, or suspension to handle you'll end up like the green heap above.
Here's another arguement I used against some Firebird moron. Picture it, December, 13 degrees Farenheight, you go to take your date home... she's wearing one of those swaying skirts us guys love. Every now and the the wind gives a little view. You go to start your car and nothing happens. Your five liters have abandoned you. Then sone guy in a Red Cl type S asks your date if you need help. She goes home with him. See my signature. Ford, Chrysler or GM will never, ever be as better as Honda, Toyota, BMW, or Mercedes.
As far as the Pontiac GTP... yes it can hang with us, it it starts. GM is worse than Ford.

Oh yeah you fucknut? You'll also spend about HALF of what our cost's on repairs! You mustang POS would NEVER compete with a type-s with EQUAL MODS that your POS HAS! Sure, give me headers, supercharger, cai, etc.. and I'llbet it will be a close race!

What do you have that's giving you 500hp?
