Legend Door Suckers

I've always loved how the legend coupe had that automatic door sucker. Has anyone ever done a transplant from the Legend to a CL if so please post a diy.

To be completely accurate, it should be noted that this feature became available with the introduction of the 2nd gen Legend Coupe ... it was not available on the 1st gen models (owned a '90 so I know).

exactly like the MB S-Class door suckers... The legend coupe was so nice. I always loved how the little rear windows rolled down, and the seatbelt presenters were cool too.

On the 2nd gen legend coupe there was what you would call a door sucker. This device would literally suck the door in so you wouldn't have to slam it shut.

I notice that the CL-S has doors that close REALLY easily - if you have even a slight incline they close and latch by themselves. I guess that's kinda close My friends always slam the doors way too hard.

Both the “door suckers” and the “seatbelt presenters” were great features and I miss them from my 91 Legend Coupe.

When I bought my 2001 CL I considered implementing the seat belt thing, but decided against it.
That’s a MAJOR safety system on the car and I wouldn’t be fudging around with it.
If you crash and got injured, Acura would probably blame any failure of the system on YOU for modifying it.

The “door suckers” were a cool feature, but I really don’t see the need to duplicate this on our car.
It was great for the driver because you knew that it did this, but I always had passengers that insisted on SLAMMING the door anyway.
