crap....so that means i have to have my headlight scleared and back on before school starts on monday....argh....how bout no bumper?

the cops will give you hell for it and might tell you its illegal but as I understand it the required bumper is not the plastic covering but the actual metal bar behind it which is seems is still there.

alright.thanx everoyne...i shudnt have to drive far of even at all like this...but if i do and get stopped i guess i'll just bullshit about haivng my lights stolen and having them damage my bumper

Just get to school during shift change. They're all at Dunkin then. I think its like 8. Besides the cops in our town are too lazy to pull people over, they let most stuff slide.

Take your front plate and put it in your front window. Having no front plate in NJ is the same as a ficticious plate and carries a fine as well as an insurance surcharge(you know, three years to the AISC).

You can drive without the bumper, but not without headlights. A friend of mine is driving his car around NJ/NYC right now without a front or rear bumper. He's been driving like that for 3 months now. They were trashed & he doesn't have any $$ to get new ones.

You can drive with no headlights, but only during the day. The no turn signal thing would be my answer as to why its not legal
