I noticed the bulb was smaller also when i swapped it out, but it still works fine, never any flickering or shutting off, not sure what the deal is, do you have the 9 led square pattern?

This is the bulb I got from superbrightleds.com:

4410 LED Festoon bulb 44x10mm (1.732 inches long)12 VDC Festoon Base Bulb with 9 LEDS, and I've never had a problem with it being loose or flickering.

This is the correct 1. The other square 9led bulb will work but as some of you have saw is a little short & causes it to loose contact.

^^^ Post pics of LED tails. Has anyone done their glove compartment light? If so how hard is it to get to the light? Im thinking about it but just wanna see what it takes. I get alot of compliments on the dome light when I unlock the car, extremely good cheap mod that everyone should do.

Thanks guys. I promise it's not photoshopped! It's just at night with a tripod and with my Canon in night mode. It looks great though I'm not sure how I feel about the light being reflected onto the ground. I might try to mask off part of the light housing or something. Even if it doesn't work I'm still very happy with the results and can't beat it for $10! Oh and the fact it only took 5 minutes to install.

I found the single led bulb not bright enough so I ordered this:
from superbrightleds. Costs $14.95 but its as bright as the Lexus ones.

And where the hell do you plan on putting that? Unless you plan on opening up the taillamp housing.

The 7443 LEDs is what you wanted for the easy mod.

Lol, it fits nicely. If look at the light, the white area matches the triangular opening on lip above the plate. I used some 3m exterior double sided tape and all is good.

Its been a while and I don't remember how wide the pattern is. Wasn't happy with the bulb, ordered this, and was happy with it. I'll snap a few pics when I get home.

Pics as promised:

I just realized you can see the bulbs from about from about 4 feet and under off the ground. I should mount the leds a bit higher to hide them better.

Nope, it's bright white, it just looks blue because my plate is light blue and light purple and the light is reflecting that onto my car.

good luck with superbrightleds. i've had nothing but shit bulbs from them, they don't even last 6 months. I have them in my license plate bulbs, had them in my dash. The only thing that hasn't failed me was the single led's, cuz i soldered those in my climate control and all those switches.

Never had a problem with the bulbs I've bought from superbrightleds. I have the map lights, dome, door courtesy, glove box, center console, and license plate. Have had them for about a year.

I just installed LEDs on my brake lights too. Although, the "Brake Lamp" indicator went on. I installed load resistors on them also, but that didn't get rid of the indicator. I don't think I hooked up the wires right. How about yours?

I just bought the load indicators so I'll let you know...You need one indicator for each LED bulb. It has to be powered through the 12v power wire. I suggest getting someone posting the wire diagram for the brake lights (like me) or test the wires yourself. All you need to do is buy a 12v indicator and check which wire is hot (where you plug the bulb in). I have 3 more LEDs coming; rear blinkers and the lonely 3rd brake light I haven't used since I bought the car.

GreenMachine, do you have any pics of your rear lights? Which bulbs did you use?

Has anyone used autolumination.com? Seems like they carry a larger selection than superbrightleds.
