I purchased my dome light, door buld, trunk bulb, and license plat bulb with there replacement bulbs from that page. It looks goo but its not bright enough for me. Kind of give it a white with a bluish tint to it. I am gonna try to find something much brighter.
Overall they are great to deal with and got my bulbs in less than a week.

So the light is dispersed ok, it is just not bright enough. See that would be my main concern from what I've read - light being pin pointed / hot spots.

I also bought some bulbs from that site & they were not bright enough. You need teh bulbs with 6, 9, 12 led's to be bright enough.
I ordered the new bulbs from superbrightleds.com
This topic has come up so do a little searching & you'll get the other experiences from members with led's.

Most of their replacement parts are either not bright enough, over priced, and usually both. I'd suggest finding out what size bulb you need and placing an order from superbrightleds.com or autolumination.com.

I have also looked at there site and would agree from what I have read that more leds is desirable. It is just that most people are replacing just the door, dome, and map lights with them. The thing I like about ledautomotive.com was that they were willing to do the dash for the customer, already sodered, all that is requeired is sending them the parts to have the regular bulbs switched to leds. My concern is the obvious issue to them not lasting. Seems to be a hit and miss problem with the infomation that I have read and then as you stated them not being bright enough or causing a hot spot. I was just hoping to find someone on here that has experience with this company and mainly their dask kit leds or another company that is providing the same service. Clinton

Not Bright Enough?

Don't tell me that, I just placed my order with them

Superbrightled was a bit cheaper, but I had a paypal credit that I wanted to use, and ...man...that sucks...hopefully I won't feel the same way.

How is he with returns? Anyone know?

I bought the Dome, Map and Courtesy lights. Why do you ask? I haven't gotten them yet, so I'm not sure if they are bright enough for my taste or not.

None of those are really going to be a good replacement for the stock bulbs from ledautomotive.com. They fit just fine, though they're not going to be very bright.

LED's

I got my lights yesterday and put them in...I'm satisfied with them...the color is what I was going for, and the LED Map lights are functional (I'd say just as bright as stock) so I think they are good. For the dash, I'm going to go to superbright...they are significantly more affordable.

Weavz - I take it then that you plan on doing all your own sodering since most of the dash isn't plug and play.

Talking Soldering

Actually, superbrightled's has the twist and pop LED's for the dash...I do plan on taking the blue film off though...don't care for the green/blue resulting color otherwise. Also, I don't care about the "dim" spot at the 80MPH either. I'm doing the gauge cluster, sorry, I just realized there may be confusion. I'm not doing the center console/radio stuff, that's all fine, just the gauges.

Are these the bulbs you're going to be getting from superbrightleds?

If so, just a warning, they're not going to light up anything except for the number directly behind the bulb socket. If you're going just for direct replacement bulbs, the best source for those are autolumination.com and you'll need the #24 bulb type, which can be found here. It'll be the 7th one down, called the superstar, looks like this:

Qty?

How many will I need? I looked up the guide on the DIY forum, and it seemed like the swap out of what's there was pretty good (once the lens were clear of any film).

And actually I was going to use these:

Weavz- when do you expect your project to be done......reason I'm asking is I would really like to see it when it is done.

Those bulbs won't work in the gauge clusters. I honestly don't know what type of vehicle those will actually fit. Hope you haven't ordered them yet. I'd suggest reading more on what's involved for this conversion. Maybe take your dash apart first and poke around a little and get familiar with the parts you're going to be working on.
