LED bulbs for the brake, tail, and turns

Has anyone seen any LED replacement bulbs for the turns, brake lights, and taillights?

The '03 has clear front and rear turns, so getting rid of the orange bulbs and replacing them with clear when off, amber when on bulbs would look pretty cool.

I tried out some APC 7440 bulbs (the backup bulb, or brake light portion of the bulb). It's bright, but since the LED's are focused lenses, they look pretty dim when installed (they don't utilize any of the taillight reflector).

Just wondering if anyone has tried out any other brands to see if they were better.

I keep seeing truckers (and buses) with them installed, and they look really sweet. Especially for turn signals, since they are instant on and instant off (unlike a conventional bulb that fades on and fades off). Mind you, they tend to have a bigger lamp (entirely out of LED's, with no reflectors).

They are going to suck in your housings (brightness wise) since it is one little cluster of bulbs in the middle and project straight out and not into your reflector. Go for a whole thing of leds like the caddies. Someone has done it to and accord and it looks great

Yeh. That's what I found out. It's a lot of work to load it up with LEDs thought (and pricey!)

I was just wondering if somebody manufactures replacement LED bulbs that have bulbs mounted on sphere, instead of a flat plane..... :P

www.LEDtronics.com have LED's for cars that are pretty good. They stilll can't match the lumens of regular incandescent bulbs, but it's about 2/3 the lumens? But they're very pricey at about $50 per bulb. And they have a few LED's pointing sideways to use some of the reflector in your light housing. But I guess you have to wait a while before technology will be there to give you a good LED replacement.

Dude, can you give me info. on the K&N Xtreme filters? I didn't know K&N made such filters. Also, I don't know how you can use LED's in fog lights. They're definitely not that bright! Plus, you'd see a cluster of light not a single beam.
