Lateral wind gusts and CLS
Lateral wind gusts and CLS
Last night, On a HW, speed 65-75 MPH, the CLS had to deal with some lateral wind gusts.
I felt as if someone (wind) is grabbing my steering wheel and yanking my CLS off lane.
A bad feeling at least, anyone would like to describe his lateral wind experience?
Thnaks.

I too have noticed the CL-S doesn't like wind too much. We had 30-35 mph winds here this weekend and the car was a bear to keep in straight line.
I'm wondering if anyone with springs has noticed a difference since they'd be dropped about 1.5" - 2" inches over stock ride height.
Bueller, Bueller, anyone, anyone,...

I am also living in Nashua, and I am planing to buy one too. Would you please share your experience of buying your car? How much did you pay for it with what accessories, and from which dealer? Thanks a lot!

I too expereinced the handling troubles when I was driving on I-95 last weekend back up to NC. Yah, I am curious if the other cl owners do not have this problem with aftermarket springs.

Nashua Night Hawk huh? I live in Texas now, but I used to live in Nashua back in the day on Manchester street. Anyhow, traded in my 97' 2.2 for a Satin Silver type s about a month ago. Night and day difference. I am thinking about some comptech springs. Don't know much about them besides the fact that they drop the car about 1 inch. Are they worth the trouble? Will they void my warranty? Are they difficult to intall? If so, how much should I expect to pay for a mechanic to intall them for me?

I had the exact problem when I'm driving to JMU which is about 1200 ft above sea level and there's high winds blowing. When I was driving about 85 I could feel the wind just pushing and pulling my car.
Go get some springs, this helped alot.

I recently installed Comptech Springs and immediately noticed a difference in the handling....The ride is slightly firmer but not uncomfortable at all...In fact I like the ride better...On the freeway I feel like I have more control and when cornering you can really feel a difference...And on the plus side the springs makes the car look alot sportier but not too extreme...I would recommend Comptech Springs installed by an Acura dealership.
