Las Vegas on my Dash!

Ok so I've been complaining about this weird noise from the front left of my car whenever I turn the wheel towards the right... I'm sure Allmotor(ryan) has hear me bitch about it enough... So today I was turning and I hear the noise again which is loud as hell... and Then I look at my dash and like 3 yellow lights are on.

- My Exclamation Light (VSA OFF)
- The VSA light
- The ABS light

I'm trying to figure out what it could be... I dont have an CEL or Engine Malfunction light.

So I think maybe my VSA has failed? Cause I floored it pretty hard today and the power made it feel as if my traction control was not on, but then I gunned it from a stopped the wheels didnt spin as much as they usually do...

Honestly I really dont know... anyone have any ideas?

The noise sounds like grinding metal... it creaks sometimes and sometimes its a grind...

Go to autozone/pepboys/whoever and have them pull the code.

Then post it here so we can look it up and tell you what it could be.

Why would they run the code with no CEL on?

Well I know its not my tranny cause, the car pulls beautifully... no jerks or anything out of the normal... the grinding noise and the cracking noise has stoped...but the lights remain on.

I might swing it by AutoZone or Pepboys tomorrow, Cause I have a huge test to study for today...

Give me a call in the morning. We'll switch cars, and I'll go get it tested for you. Sound good?

Definitely transmission.

When you start your car does the CEL light up? It normally should light up and then go off. Definitely sounds like the transmission or something related to the drivetrain.

Any abnormal jerking while driving especially when shifting? Or is it just the noise while turning? It may not be the standard 2nd gear/3rd gear issue but it is definitely something with the drive train. Maybe a bent front axle that's wreaking havoc on the transmission.

So nothing other than the noise huh? If the axle was bent you'd feel a shake from the drive train at all times and even more prominent under acceleration.

I dont feel a shake at all from the drive train... but I use to hear a loud crackling and grinding noise from the front left... when I turned the wheel to the right...

But that stopped making noises and then those lights came on practically simultaneously..

I heard the noise just a little bit today...but thats the first I've heard of it since the lights came on and I haven't heard it anytime after that either...

Without a DTC from Pepboys I don't know what else to say other than pull her into the dealership to figure it out.

Meh I said the same thing before I supercharged my automatic. But I honestly had no transmission problems with the supercharger and I drove the piss out of it.

These transmissions are hit or miss. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't.

That might be true... I haven't had anything major with mine yet..

But I got the car back today from the dealer and they said a sensor on the front left was damaged... like a strut sensor or some sort..

Then the noise he claims it is my aftermarket exhaust cause it hits the rear lower tie rod...

but that can't explain the loud grinding noise... but all the noises are gone so I cant do anything until they come back...

and the lights are all gone
