LA Auto-Show

Somewhat a dissapointment to see cars recycled from other larger events.

The new Lambo's, 350ZX and a few others caught my eye but that was about it

about the 6spd CLS - not so great

i couldn't see what the shift gate would look like since someone or acura took everthing out besides the little stub where the shift knob would be

the cup holders looked ghetto as could be and the cover did not slide down or slide up smoothly...IMO really really bad...people would either leave it up or down at all times

the seat warmer button's look like little pimples sticking out and really really don't look in place

2 thumbs up to the blacked out headlight housing units and body color front grill out lining

the car looks ok without the fog lights untill i found out that little black piece of plastic there would easily pull out...bad

is onstar really that usefull? it looks cool on the rear-view mirror

the new interior trim is nice as well as the new perforation...the holes are slightly smaller and the leather on the door panels are perforated as well

overall...not much of a different car

i hope the 6spd lives up to better performance

Yep, that's kinda what I thought about the 6-sp, too.

So I was talking about the looks not how it drives; I haven't driven one.

So for all of you guys who thought I was talking about how the actually transmission looks appearance-wise (when I was a bit critical of the new car), well this is for you:

Re: LA Auto-Show

I was at the LA show last weekend. They had two 6 speeds. The white one was much rougher. I'm surprised they even put it out there. The e-brake handle wasn't wrapped in leather and the cup holder cover wouldn't slide unless I pinched the handle and slid it just right. The blue one was much better and looked more finished. The cupholder cover slid easily on it. Also, the fog light insert on the white one was loose but the blue one's was very secure.

The shift gates felt very close together. But like you said, its hard to get a good feel for it without the knob.
