Hyundai Crossover News
Spy Shots: 2008 Hyundai MPV - - by Brenda Priddy - - Source: The Car Connection
Hyundai has been caught testing a new mid-size crossover vehicle in the desert southwest.
Last week, some Web sites identified the vehicle shown here as a Hyundai version of the upcoming compact Kia Rondo. That vehicle, our sources tell us, is exclusive to the smaller Korean automaker.
Instead, what you're seeing here is the Hyundai version of the Cee'd, a crossover vehicle - roughly the size of the Portico concept from previous Hyundai auto-show press conferences - that Kia will show in production form at the Paris auto show. Apparently, Kia will share the Cee'd with Hyundai, and potentially, both will be offered in theU.S. An official announcement on the new crossover is expected by the time the Detroit auto show rolls around in January. -Jeremy Kupfer for Brenda Priddy & Co.

^ Exactly when I was thinking when I did a search for all posts with Hyundai on the subject. There is a full lineup coming up and it will be a huge bloodbath for a lot of the competition when it fully forms and matures.

Their stragedy is working. Hyundai is now on my radar. No way I could have said that 10 or even 5 years ago.
Not sure what this will compete with. Looks Ford Freestlylish but I don't think it has a 3rd row. Hard to tell by those pics. But it also looks bigger than a Mazda 5.
