Ksport BBK

anyone know the scoop on this product?

they dont make a direct line for the CL, but i was wondering if anyone knew if the kit for the 98-02 accord v6 would work. it seems like a realy nice kit seeing as how its an 8 piston setup. let me know bbk experts!

Don't forget, you would probably need a new master cylinder for that bad boy. Its a monster.

unless you are autocrossing or at the track I doubt 8 pistons would benefit you anymore than 4. And for 2g's I'd much rather get a set of brembos.

that's a good point - but then again upgrading the rear brakes should be fun.

The 4 piston ROTORA rear BBK is $2k, but the 2 piston is far less.

Probably closer to the size of dimes. The Brembo calipers seem to be the biggest calipers for this car and those use a 40mm and 36mm piston on each side. The pistons on these Ksports must be tiny to fit 8 onto those calipers, and if they are that small, it will give you no advantage over a 4 piston set-up with pistons of equal total size (equal area of all pistons). The only advantage I see to these is being different and being able to say you have 8 piston brakes.

just look at them, i dont know, from the picture it doesnt look worth 2500, and for less than that you can get a bigger rotor and piston from rotora.

both rotors are 330mm. ~13inch pistons are bigger but less of them. so the braking force isnt spread out as much. thats why the OEMs warp so bad cause its focused on one spot. i was thinking these would be better even if the pistons are smaller and the caliper is the same size....it would be spreading out the braking power more evenly accross the pad. know what i mean? correct me if im wrong

Brembo Monoblock Indy calipers don't look impressive either, but you'll find them on race cars from NASCAR to F1

Number of pistons has nothing to do with our rotors warping. The fact that Acura sucks at designing a brake system does. Want to guess how many pistons an M3, M5 or M6 has? Just one ginormous piston yet the brakes on these cars get great reviews.
