Keyless entry remote compatable?

Keyless entry remote compatable?
I need a new keyless remote for my car. Mine went though the wash. I'm trying to figure out if i need the same frequencys or whatever.
Just go to the dealer and buy one. The brain of the keyless entry that is in our car will "LEARN" the code that you new remote has!! I went to the dealer and bought the 02 TL remote. The real cool looking one!!! The dealer was cool enough to program it for me. Took like 30 seconds.
