i was just curious, does anyone have 01-03 cls over 100,000 miles on it.. do you guys recommend to trade/sell your beloved cl's after the 100,000 miles due to tranny problem?

The few after 100k have been 'good will' repairs from the dealers/Acura.
I don't drive a lot of miles, so I'll see how Acura handles other peoples transmission failures after the warranty, what a replacement cost.
I think it will be hard to justify the cost of replacement at 100k. Who would drop $4k-5k in a car worth $12k (or less)?

I'm going to keep my 6spd for another 2 years (should have about 55K miles then), and look around to see what's out there that interests me and where I stand on trade in value. If I can get $15K for it, I might make a move to something else. I don't think I'll buy another FWD car tho'.

I'll keep this car for another 2 to 3 years before i start looking around for a replacement.

Another thing to keep in mind. Acura only certifies cars with under 75K miles, so there are a couple of different mileage milestones to think about.
My 6spd isn't affect by the tranny problems, but if I had an auto, I'd get rid of it before 100K (before the warrantee ran out).
EDIT: By the time I'm ready for another car, the Mustang Cobra and hopefully a AWD acura coupe will be out. I might just say screw it tho' and buy an old mans car like a honda accord sedan or a toyota avalon

On your other cars, what did they cost to fix? Where could you get them fixed? It seems like Acura owns the market right now. $$$ Acura Parts & Labor.
My last car (Olds) would of been $1400 for a rebuilt tranny, installed, in a local shop. And it would of lasted over 100k.
I can't see paying 4000-5000 for a transmission that will last 30-50k. Tires should last that long, not transmissions.
