just some quick questions
well im just curious cause after last night when i was reading the owners manual which i never even paid attention to i was on the maintenance section and i see that almost everything on this car never has to been changed compared to other cars. I mean oil changed every 7500 miles not 3000 which everyone seems to recommend for other cars. spark plugs at 105k miles i mean shoot cant complain thats pretty tight that u dont have to change alot of the things on this car for a while. Im just curious is of when do most people change there oil and there spark plugs compared to what the manual insists? Oh and as of the "maint reg" light
whats the main purpose of this to just remind u of ur oil change?

Welcome to the Forum, turbowonder !!
That's why people buy Hondas and Acuras... Low maintenance costs. Of course the dealer want's to make money on service, so they'll have you come in as much as possible.
I change my oil every 7500. Some people like to do it more often, but I'll just follow the Acuras recommendations.
Yep, the maint light is to let you know the car is due for service (mainly the oil and tire rotation, along w/ filters at 30K, etc...)
Before anyone asks, here's how to reset the maint light yourself:

They list 7500 as an interval for ideal driving conditions.
If you drive like a maniac, or live in areas with hot/cold weather or mountain driving, you'll need to change it at more frequent intervals. I do both city and hwy driving and have always done at 5-7k mile intervals with Hondas and Acuras since 1985, and have never had an issue.
