Just some info

I just got my 18"x7.5" rims and 235/40/18 tires installed. Offest of the rims is 42. There is no rubbing regardless of how much i turn the steering wheel. Its a perfect fit. I think i can even lower the car a bit with this setup. What do u guys think, lower the car or not?

You're not rubbing because the tire and wheel size you got, although 18 is almost the same overall tire size as the stock 17's (diamter wise). If you go lower than a comptech drop, ur gonna start running into rubbing problems. Your Offset is +42. At the stock height, the travel distance between the wheel well and the edge of the wheel is MUCH greater than that if you had lowered the car. Remember, at +42 u are 1.3cm or 13mm further out than what you ould be at stock wheels. Also, figure that the stock wheels, when lowered even agressively, can tuck into the wheel well because of that +55 offset. The +42 won't. So when ur springs and shocks compress, there's more room for the tire. I wouldn't go past a Comptech Drop with ur current setup, but that's my opinion.

I definately think you should get a drop, if you want a subtle drop go with comptech, but if you want more of a drop, there's alot more choices.
