Just recently I was called by American Honda...

they had questions about some of my comments on initial delivery. I won't bore you with the details but the conversation had an interesting ending. They asked if, at a future convenient time, I would mind if a Honda engineer took a ride with me. I said that I would be available.

Has anyone else received a similar phone call?

Sweet! Maybe they'll comp you something ... might be worth asking, but not until that engineer is in your car.

My salesman said that I would get a call too. he made it seem like a big deal, so I guess that Acura likes to follow up on customer satifaction.

I filled out a sample survey at the dealership. The salesmans said that if I had a any problems w/ the car the he would resolve them before I drove off the lot. They said that if I answer the "real" phone survey the same way that I answered the sample survey the would give me a free oil change (wow )

I'm still waiting for my phone call, but I think you must have been lucky to get offered to meet w/ a honda engineer. Must have felt like one of the radio station promotions, "Congrads, you are the lucky 10th caller, so you get..." kinda deals

How long did you have your car before you got the call? I still haven't gotten my survey yet and it's been almost 3 months.

Sample survey?!? Wow, they really are trying to intimidate. MY dealer didn't have a sample survey but our deal was somewhat acrimonious.

I did get a phone call from Honda just a few weeks after I purchased it in March. This call happened last week.

I think they were impressed by my mileage (over 13K) and possibly want to check into longer term usage.

Naw, it wasn't like that

They were just making sure that I was happy w/ their service in the whole car buying "experiance".

My quess is that the dealerships get some kind of incentives ("voted best acura dealership in new england" kind of crap), from the results of the survey.

Salespersons probably get incentives too, so the better they do on the surveys from their sales they better they do $$$ wise.

Man, I am so jealous. Acura Care, as far as I am concerned really sucks butt. I've had my car for over 2 years and have never recieved a questioneer, letter, call or anything from them. I had a Mazda with 90K on it, the steering rack had to be replaced under extnded warrenty and I got a letter from them saying how sorry they were that I had a problem. I've had my transmission replaced 2x on this car and all of the other typical problems corrected and still NOTHING from Acura/Honda! I got way better customer treatment from lowly Mazda, man I wish Mazda would make another 2 door decent HP car soon so I could get one and be treated right again.
