Just ordered Unorthodox Ultra SS Pullies
I just ordered the package of all 3 pullies through my local acura dealer, Valencia Acura, for 300 bucks. I got the color blue.
He said I can get mine in 3 to 5 days!! (its what his connection there said)
Guess Ill have them first before all of you guys.
Ill get my friends digital camera and get pics of it installed in my car and installation and stuff. Expect them in 1 to 2 weeks.

I talked it over with my buddy Brian Fleming, hes the sales manager at Valencia Acura. In fact, I will be starting to work there this summer at Valencia Acura. Thus, I should get discounted prices more off of these. Angel, the parts man, (the same guy working with Wilwood for brakes) said its fine, just that they will try it out with me since finally Unorthodox came out with pullies for our CL. It will not void my warranty, just warrant more power for my CL. I cant wait for the dyno from Unorthodox, but I'm gonna see if I can get mine run on the dyno machine at Acura.
Any other ?'s.... Post it.

I wonder about these...because you're just trading off power steering and alternator output for HP...which ok...but I mean why would you want to do that? Alternator I can see...if you never plan on having a system in your car. But PS? I'm just going to go with lighter pulleys...not smaller...I'd like to know how bad it is though after you put em on.

If they are then there'd be nothing to worry about...but I doubt you'd get as big of gains as you usually hear pullies giving...if they're not underpowering stuff let me know, because just lighter are the type I have been looking for.

Austin,
I knew I had seen it somewhere, but now we just need for this info to be confirmed.

Read their FAQ on their site people:
http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/faq_pulleys.html
The SS comes with smaller accessory pullies, therefore maintaining about the same 'spinnage' on the PS and Alternator.
Simple physics with the (larger diameter than stock) AEM accessory pullies will tell you that you will be turning your PS and alternator even slower if you just get the UR crank pulley.

and those will fit the CL Type S ?
thanks
Shawn,
Are those the correct gates part numbers for the 01' Acura CL-S Ultra SS kit?
P/S Belt:
Brand: Gates
Part #: K040425
Alternator Belt:
Brand: Gates
Part #: K060441
I called a local dealer; he does not have them in stock.
But he added he could order and get them the same day. So, if I call Monday before 11:00 AM, I can get them the same day.
Price Quotes:
K040425: $14.34
K060441: $11.29
I called another local parts store, both parts are in stock.
Price Quotes:
K040425: $14.62
K060441: $11.51
Thanks.

We are confident they will be correct for the Type S, but since we can't say with 100% certainty, you should buy them fromn whoever stocks them so they will not give you a hard time about exchanging them.

You now 'da man...

Could you report on before and after vibration sensations from the engine?????
Others?
No prob.
I wanted to do the install and dyno this tuesday or thursday, usually my days off, but i have Fri. and Sat. off and i have to go to Miami.........so i might skip class on thursday and do the dyno.
I hope the vibration isn't really that much, i didnt realize this was going to be a factor.
