I was behind a 3000GT wwith modded exhaust on an entrance ramp--I heard him downshift right before we got onto the freeway so I did the same into 2nd. We both hit it as soon as we got on the freeway and if I didn't let off I would have smashed into the back of him in about 100 feet! The we came side to side after we passed a couple of cars and he downshifted again and so did I into 3rd and by the end of 3rd I was passing him again and waving goodbye.

GTs only have about 220 hp, and they are heavy cars, over 3000 pounds.

VR4s are, of course, a different story.
