Just installed my AEM intake

Before:
Got it yesterday and could not wait to install it.

During:
I just installed my AEM CAI. It took about an hour work and was pretty simple. I didn't have the need to remove the tire or the inner fender wall. I just got the filter on through the flap underneath the car. I am not mechanically inclined and it was pretty easy.

After:
I first got into the car and thought "what is everybody talking about it being loud". It sounded almost stock. The car was a little more responsive, but nothing too special. When I finally got to a street where I could push it....I understood what people were talking about. As soon as you hit 4K-rpm, you hear this deep grumble start. As soon as I hit VTEC....the shit hit the fan. The car took off!!! At high rpm's, this thing only starts working.

Result:
I love it. The only problem I have now is keeping the car below 4K-rpm.

Before Intake, my trrap speed was 89-90. After it is 92-93 so. I added 3 MPH or 4.5% an addtional 11 HP.

Enjoy!, VTEC sound is freaky, right ?

I don't know about freaky......I think it sounds sweet. Now I just have to get used to it.

You think that sounds freaky?

I used to take the air box cover off of my S2000. The filter was still there, but the cover was off. It sounds like a V6!

Next time you're with a friend that has an S2000, have him take off the airbox cover, then VTEC! It sounds nasty!
