Black CLS?

I will be purchasing a CLS within a few months and I am thinking about getting Black/Ebony but don't know for sure becuz I have heard a lot about the problems with the paint and the upkeep. Those of you with black, would you buy black again if you could choose again? Thanks

Just get a silver one, can't see shit on silver, it looks clean all the time unless you pretend its an suv and try to pass everyone by using the grass on the side of the highway while trying to catch up to your friends(but that could have been just me)

Silver is an easy color to keep clean, but paint chips reveal black underneath. As for the black cars, paint chips reveal white (or gray) underneath.

Thanks for your input! I like the Silver but I have 2000 Nissan Pathfinder in that color and I don't want to have two cars with the same color I like the black becuz like the silver it is both sporty and classy. Red is just sporty and I had a white CRX so I want something different. Maybe the Agean Blue with satisfy me. I haven't seen it in person yet.

I have a 2001 black on black CLS. My advice is if you get the black car be prepared to give it more care than any other color. For example: I live in Florida and when the car is parked outside for more than one hour it has the cover on it! If you don't give it extraordinary care it won't look new very long. If you do IMO it looks better than any other color.

Yes a cover does prevent that layer of dust, but moreover it stops ultra violet radiation 100%. In Florida UV damage can occur in a single day. Black leather is sun damage just waiting to happen. Also after sitting out in a parking lot after 8 hours of work it is at least 20 degrees cooler with the cover on.
