Just had oil changed
I didn't pay attention the first time but I noticed now that the local acura dealer here uses 5W-30 motor oil. I guess that's the recommended kind but just wondering what you guys thought?
Is that type used because the engine runs a little hotter than other engines?

I can tell you on an 03 S the engine oil cap and manual only state 5W20, nothing else. Just seems so thin. I know on my Ford it states the same but I run Mobil 1 5W30. The cold flow rate is the same and it should hang together better the hotter it gets. I figure I'll run 5w20 dino oil untill around 5k then switch over to syn 5w30.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I left the break in oil till 5k miles, then changed to Mobil1 5W-30 in my 2003. I may see if I can find the synthetic 5w-20 I've heard mentioned here... amosoil was it?
